We are partnering with a leading global financial institution to recruit an experienced Derivatives Negotiator to join a high-performing legal team supporting derivatives and fixed income activities across EMEA. The role will involve close collaboration with trading, risk, and structuring teams, ensuring documentation is robust, compliant, and aligned with the organisation's risk appetite.

Description
- Lead the negotiation and execution of derivatives documentation including master agreements, collateral arrangements, and related legal documentation
- Provide clear, commercially focused legal guidance on complex or bespoke derivatives transactions
- Partner closely with front office teams to facilitate transaction execution while managing legal and regulatory risks
- Support the development and refinement of internal legal policies, frameworks, and best practices
- Identify and assess legal and regulatory developments, advising on potential impacts to the business
- Contribute to cross-border transactions, coordinating with colleagues and external parties across multiple jurisdictions
Profile
- Significant experience (appx. 10+ years) within derivatives legal or documentation negotiation roles
- Strong knowledge of derivatives documentation (e.g., ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs) and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Exposure to multiple jurisdictions (e.g. UK, Europe, US, Asia) and cross-border transactions
- Experience working with a wide range of counterparties including financial institutions, corporates, and funds
Job Offer
- Day rate up to £800 via umbrella depending on candidate experience
- Hybrid working in Central London, 2 – 3 days per week in office
- 12 month FTC with the potential to extend
