A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Ecology to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy in Cambridge. With over 35 years of experience delivering sustainable solutions across ecology, landscape architecture, biodiversity net gain, arboriculture and planning, this award-winning consultancy has built a strong reputation for innovation, technical excellence and client service.
As Head of Ecology, you will lead and develop a growing ecology team, oversee project delivery, drive business growth and maintain the highest technical standards. The Head of Ecology will work closely with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to deliver practical ecological solutions that support both biodiversity and development objectives. This Head of Ecology role offers genuine influence within the business, making it an ideal opportunity for a senior professional ready to take the next step. The successful Head of Ecology will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the ecology division from the Cambridge office.

Requirements:
- Significant ecological consultancy experience at Senior or Principal level
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Proven project and client management experience
* Excellent knowledge of UK ecological legislation and planning policy
* Full UK driving licence
* Full right to work in the UK
* Ability to commute to and work from the Cambridge office regularly
* Living in or within a reasonable distance of the office
* Membership of CIEEM, with chartership desirable
