Our client is an influential, highly respected trade body representing the international wholesale commercial insurance and reinsurance company market in London.
Description
- Independently service and coordinate designated public policy committees, managing agendas, technical papers, minutes, and the execution of action points.
- Conduct proactive tracking of legal, regulatory, and governmental developments, identifying the exact operational risks and implications for international member firms.
- Draft clear, technically accurate consultation responses, policy briefing notes, and market guidance papers regarding complex updates from the FCA, PRA, and HM Treasury.
- Engage confidently with member representatives to gather technical input, test policy positions, and align diverging views into a unified London market perspective.
- Support external advocacy by preparing briefing packs for regulatory meetings and collaborating closely with peer associations (e.g., LMA, LIIBA, ABI).
Profile
- Experience within commercial insurance, a financial regulator, a legal/policy firm, or a fast-paced trade association.
- Proven ability to digest large volumes of technical data and heavy legislative text (e.g., PRA/FCA frameworks, GDPR) and translate it into concise, actionable summaries.
- Exceptional drafting ability, with a track record of producing high-quality written outputs, including formal minutes, structured reports, or policy briefings.
- A professional who possesses the emotional intelligence and gravitas required to confidently manage relationships, field enquiries, and interact with senior market stakeholders.
- A self-motivated, organised professional who thrives when given the independence to manage competing deadlines and take true ownership of their workstreams.
Job Offer
