ASAP start – working till end of December 2026

£27.13 hour rate inclusive of holiday pay (PAYE)

Hybrid working – 2 days London office, 3 days from home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and proactive Programme Officer to support the delivery of strategic programmes and operational activity within a respected UK organisation.

This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone with strong project coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder management experience, ideally gained within charity, public sector, research, policy, healthcare, or mission-led environments.

Working across multiple workstreams, you will support programme delivery, financial monitoring, grants and contract administration, events coordination, and reporting activity, helping ensure projects and initiatives are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the planning and coordination of programmes and projects
  • Monitoring timelines, risks, budgets, and programme progress
  • Managing invoicing, purchase orders, financial tracking, and reporting
  • Coordinating workshops, meetings, and stakeholder events
  • Supporting grant management and contract administration processes
  • Maintaining project documentation, trackers, and reporting systems
  • Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, grant holders, and external partners
  • Supporting continuous improvement and effective programme delivery

Experience required:

  • Experience coordinating projects, programmes, grants, or operational activity
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience managing budgets, invoicing, or financial administration processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using digital collaboration and project management tools
  • Experience within charity, public sector, healthcare, research, academic, or philanthropic settings would be highly desirable.
