Role Overview * Start Date: September 2026 * Applications Close: August 2026 * Salary: £38,000 – £58,000 (Inner London Pay Scale) * Location: Borough of Islington * Position: SEN Teacher – SEN Secondary School (Ages 9-18) * Class Size: Small groups with additional teaching assistant support * Development: Excellent training, CPD opportunities & clear career progression
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a well-established SEN school in Southwark catering for pupils aged 9-18. You will lead a KS3/KS4 SEN class of pupils with a range of additional needs, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a nurturing leadership team.
Key Responsibilities * Take the lead in supporting children with ASD through targeted interventions and personalised strategies * Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs * Carry out interventions to help pupils develop communication, social, and academic skills * Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support * Promote both academic progress and personal development for each child * Contribute to the inclusive, child-centred ethos of the school
