Macildowie Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with one of the East Midlands leading public sector organisations to recruit a Cost Planner to join their capital works team.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of capital projects across a varied property portfolio, including educational, office and operational buildings.
Working closely with the Commercial, Procurement and Operational teams, you will support projects from initial feasibility through to mobilisation and delivery, ensuring projects are accurately costed, effectively procured and well coordinated.
This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple projects at different stages of the project lifecycle working for an organisation that blends a stimulating working environment with a strong work life balance culture.
About You
You’ll have proven track record and experience within pre-construction, cost planning, estimating or construction procurement environments including;
- Strong understanding of construction procurement processes and project delivery stages.
- Experience preparing cost plans, pricing estimates, tender documentation and procurement information.
- Ability to build effective relationships with contractors, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Well organised, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying or estimating.
- Working towards or holding professional membership with a relevant industry body would be advantageous.
