ECT Teacher – Primary School

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackburn is seeking a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team after the Easter break for the Summer Term.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate ECT to begin or continue their teaching journey in a nurturing school environment with strong support from experienced staff and leadership.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire pupils and support their academic and personal development. The school is committed to helping ECTs succeed and will provide guidance, mentoring, and a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons in line with the curriculum

Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Supporting pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing

Working closely with teaching assistants and senior staff

Assessing and tracking pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:

Is a qualified ECT or soon-to-be qualified teacher

Has a passion for inspiring young learners

Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills

Is enthusiastic, committed, and eager to develop professionally

Works well as part of a supportive school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
