Join our dedicated team as a Waste Collection Operative, where you will undertake a variety of operational duties in different weather conditions. This role involves physically and mentally demanding tasks, requiring a high level of professionalism and adherence to safety standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Undertake operational duties in various weather conditions, involving physically and mentally demanding tasks.
- Work under the guidance of the driver and supervisor, using personal initiative to deliver services to a professional standard within agreed guidelines.
- Adhere to agreed schedules and standards, responding positively to new initiatives as required or directed by line managers to ensure all targets are met.
- Comply with Health and Safety, Customer Care, Dignity at Work, and other relevant legislation, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Use IT solutions to deliver and support services, including the completion of electronic records for new services and initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and also work independently.
- Familiarity with using ICT solutions in a work environment.
- Commitment to professional service delivery and safety compliance.
