We are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer for a leading precision engineering client. Supplying all the leading Automotive manufacturers this is a fantastic opportunity to be apart of the future.
You will be expected to implement and control quality policies, procedures and documentation within the production environment to establish conformance in line with customer specifications. Having a background in both low & high volume manufacturing would be seen as an advantage.
Main responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:

Compile and report daily, weekly and monthly KPI figures.

Manage PPAP process, New products and Tooling submissions.

Be a presence on the shop floor and support/advice on all quality needs.

Manage all related Non-Confirming product issues for both customer & internal.

Chair internal quality meetings, supporting Quality Manager.

Report quality issues and actions with team leaders from each department.
Skills & Attributes needed to succeed:
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Understand CMM reports and inform out of tolerance results to all departments
-
Previous experience with CMM programming
-
Good working knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF16949
-
PPAP, 8D and root cause analysis
Previous experience that would be key:
-
Working within a quality department
-
Have a background in low & high volume manufacturing
-
Lead auditor certified IATF16949
