NJR Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly respected and specialist Pensions-focused IFA firm in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual who enjoys complex pensions work and wants to be part of a professional and collaborative financial planning environment.
Working closely with Advisers and Consultants, you will provide high-quality technical support across a broad range of pension and retirement planning cases, helping deliver tailored solutions and exceptional client outcomes.
The Role
- Preparing detailed suitability reports and recommendation letters
- Conducting technical research across pensions, investments and retirement planning
- Supporting Advisers with complex pension and decumulation cases
- Analysing pension arrangements, including defined contribution and defined benefit schemes
- Assisting with drawdown, pension transfer and retirement income planning cases
- Obtaining and reviewing provider information, illustrations and valuations
- Preparing client review documentation and technical analysis
- Liaising with providers, clients and internal teams where required
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with FCA standards
About You
- Previous experience within a Paraplanner role is essential
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and estate planning
- Experience writing suitability reports within an IFA environment
- Level 4 Diploma would be desirable, but previous experience is more important
- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong written communication abilities
- Comfortable working within a collaborative team environment
- Experience with pension transfer or complex retirement planning work would be highly advantageous.
