We're working with a fast-growing financial services business on the search for a Strategic Partnerships Lead to take ownership of one of its most important growth channels.
This is a high-impact commercial role with responsibility for driving customer acquisition, revenue growth and profitability through a portfolio of strategic partnerships. You'll own the commercial performance of established partner relationships while identifying opportunities to optimise, expand and unlock new sources of growth.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with exceptional relationship-building skills, using data and insight to shape strategy, improve performance and deliver measurable business results.
The Role
As Strategic Partnerships Lead, you'll be responsible for the commercial success of a portfolio of strategic partners, managing relationships from launch through to optimisation and growth.
You'll develop and execute partnership strategies that support wider business objectives, working closely with internal stakeholders across marketing, product, legal and data teams to ensure partnerships deliver maximum value.
This role offers significant ownership and visibility, with direct accountability for partnership revenue, margin and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own partnership revenue, margin and growth targets across an active portfolio of strategic partners
- Develop and execute partnership strategies that drive customer acquisition and commercial performance
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities, address challenges and maximise return on investment
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key partners, developing joint commercial plans and growth initiatives
- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements that create value for all parties
- Work closely with data teams to ensure reporting is accurate, meaningful and supports informed decision-making
- Lead partnership launches and cross-functional projects, ensuring smooth delivery from agreement through to implementation
- Collaborate with marketing, product and legal teams to optimise partner propositions and customer outcomes
- Manage and develop partnership team members, providing coaching and support as the function grows
- Contribute to wider commercial strategy and business growth initiatives
About You
We're looking for an experienced commercial partnerships professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience building and managing strategic partnerships within financial services, fintech, comparison platforms or another high-growth sector
- A strong commercial mindset, with experience managing revenue, margin, customer acquisition and return on investment metrics
- Proven ability to translate data and insight into commercial strategy and actionable recommendations
- Strong negotiation and deal-structuring experience
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at senior level
- Experience leading and developing team members
- Confidence working cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, product, legal and data teams
- Understanding of the FCA regulatory environment and the importance of delivering good customer outcomes
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a scaling business
