The role
As an Employment Associate in Glasgow, you’ll manage a varied caseload spanning both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, with a strong focus on acting for employers.
Your work will include:
- Advising on unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and redundancy
- Supporting clients through disciplinary and grievance processes
- Handling TUPE and large-scale restructuring projects
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including advocacy where appropriate
- Providing commercially focused HR and workplace advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting wider team initiatives and business development activity
About you
This role would suit an Employment Solicitor who:
- Has circa 2–6 years’ PQE in employment law
- Has experience advising employer clients on a range of workplace issues
- Is confident handling Employment Tribunal litigation
- Demonstrates excellent drafting skills across pleadings and advisory documents
- Can manage their own caseload while contributing to team success
- Builds strong, trusted relationships with clients
- Has a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Is interested in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
- Has good commercial awareness and delivers pragmatic advice
