The Opportunity
Are you an experienced payroll professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, presenting to others, and keeping up to date with legislative changes?
We're seeking a Payroll Tutor to join a leading payroll education and training organisation. This is a unique opportunity to combine your extensive payroll expertise with training, mentoring, content creation, and industry engagement.
This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys variety, is comfortable presenting to groups, and is looking for a long-term position rather than a traditional progression route.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver payroll training and legislative update sessions to clients.
- Tutor and support a cohort of approximately 10 students at a time.
- Create and update payroll training materials and course content.
- Research and communicate payroll legislation changes and industry developments.
- Write newsletters, blogs, and other educational content.
- Participate in webinars and client-facing events.
- Support payroll-related queries and provide technical guidance.
- Carry out manual payroll calculations when required.
About You
- 12-15+ years' payroll experience.
- Currently operating at Payroll Manager level or equivalent.
- Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience.
- Confident with manual payroll calculations.
- Comfortable presenting, training, and speaking in front of groups.
- Strong written communication skills with experience creating content or technical updates.
- Outgoing, engaging, and passionate about payroll.
- Keen to remain hands-on within the payroll profession rather than pursuing a traditional management career path.
- Stable payroll background with recent payroll processing experience.
