A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated ASD TA to join a supportive and inclusive school in Reading. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic ASD TA who is passionate about helping pupils with autism thrive both academically and socially within a nurturing educational environment.
The school is seeking a compassionate ASD TA who can build positive relationships with pupils and provide tailored support that encourages confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
The Role
As an ASD TA, you will work closely with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, supporting them throughout the school day and helping them access the curriculum effectively. You will collaborate with teachers, support staff, and the SENCO to ensure pupils receive the individualised support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored classroom support for pupils with autism
- Assist with the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupil progress
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and engagement with learning
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
About You
The ideal ASD TA will be patient, caring, and committed to helping children reach their full potential.
You will have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting learners
- The ability to build trust and rapport with pupils
- A genuine interest in SEND and inclusive education
- Previous experience supporting children with autism (desirable but not essential)
