Business Development Manager

We are seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sales background and a keen eye for identifying new market opportunities. Initially focused on the UK market, this position includes significant travel within the UK and Europe, engaging directly with clients and attending trade shows.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Identify new markets and opportunities, driving sales forward in existing and new industrial areas.
- Appoint new distributors and manage existing distributor networks, assisting with sales strategies and development.
- Take ownership of a portfolio of existing, lapsed, and new clients, making regular contact to nurture these relationships.
- Provide technical support by becoming knowledgeable about our products and assisting with product development.
- Expect UK and European travel, including attendance at trade shows and visits to customer sites, which may include overnight stays and occasional weekends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in a sales role
- Ability to spot opportunities and convert them into business.
- Highly literate and numerate with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and familiarity with other sales management tools.
