The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading supplier to the FMCG sector, supporting a diverse range of customers across luxury retail, cosmetics, beauty, food & beverage and manufacturing sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition, develop strategic customer relationships and identify opportunities for revenue growth across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on winning new business whilst building long-term partnerships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across target markets.
  • Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline through networking, referrals, prospecting and lead generation activities.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare and present tailored quotations and commercial proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to successful order placement.
  • Collaborate with internal design, production and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
  • Attend industry exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings.

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced and motivated sales professional with:

  • Proven success within Business Development, Field Sales or Account Management.
  • Strong B2B sales experience.
  • A track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience building relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial awareness and consultative selling skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Full UK Driving License.

Desirable

  • Experience within manufacturing, print, industrial products, FMCG or related sectors.
  • Experience selling bespoke or technical solutions.
