Social Value & Community Engagement Manager
South Cambridge Area | Hybrid (3 Days On Site) | £65,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced Social Value professional with a proven track record of delivering measurable community impact within large-scale property, regeneration, development, infrastructure or mixed-use environments?
We are partnering with a highly ambitious organisation delivering one of the UK's most significant long-term place-making and regeneration programmes. This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead a social value strategy that will create lasting benefits for local communities, businesses, education providers and future generations.
The Opportunity
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the social value and community engagement agenda, developing and delivering a comprehensive socio-economic strategy across a major development programme.
This is a highly visible role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery. You will engage with local authorities, community groups, education providers, businesses and key stakeholders to ensure meaningful, measurable social impact is embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a long-term Social Value and Community Engagement Strategy.
- Lead stakeholder engagement programmes and community consultation activities.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, community organisations and strategic partners.
- Manage and deliver Section 106 and wider community benefit commitments.
- Develop frameworks to measure, monitor and report social value outcomes.
- Secure buy-in from senior leadership and present progress at executive level.
- Identify funding opportunities, partnerships and initiatives that enhance community impact.
- Create engaging communications and outreach programmes to promote positive outcomes.
About You
We are seeking a specialist social value professional who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience in Social Value, Community Engagement, Regeneration, Place-Making or Socio-Economic Development.
- Experience within property, real estate, development, infrastructure, construction or large-scale mixed-use projects.
- Strong knowledge of social impact measurement, reporting frameworks and best practice.
- Experience delivering Section 106 obligations or similar community benefit programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and delivery-focused.
- Strong project management, communication and presentation skills.
