A welcoming and supportive school in Chatham is seeking dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time, fixed-term basis for the full academic year starting in September 2026.

The Role:
As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers and leadership staff to provide high-quality support both inside and outside the classroom.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Delivering planned lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher
- Supporting pupils across a range of year groups and abilities
- Working with individuals and small groups to boost attainment and confidence
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and creating an engaging learning environment
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold HLTA status or relevant experience
- Have previous experience working within a primary or secondary school setting
- Be confident leading groups and covering lessons
- Have excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children’s learning
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
