Cover Supervisor – Supply Opportunities Across Wakefield

Are you looking to gain valuable experience in secondary schools? Do you have strong classroom management skills and the confidence to lead a class? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on a flexible supply basis in a range of secondary schools across Wakefield.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will supervise pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged with the work provided.
The Role:
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students in completing assigned work.
- Ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
- Work on a flexible basis to suit your availability.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or youth work setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confidence leading groups of students aged 11-16.
- A proactive and adaptable approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
