We are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Counterbalance / Storesperson to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation in Coventry.
This is a hands-on role combining forklift work with general stores duties, supporting both goods-in and production operations within a fast-paced environment.
Hours: 6am-2pm Monday to Friday – must be flexible to work rotation shifts 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm during busy periods.
Pay rate: £12.83 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Moving stock within the warehouse and production areas
- Picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch
- Booking goods in and out using internal systems
- Supplying materials to production lines as required
- Conducting stock checks and maintaining accurate records
- Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe
- Following all health & safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB/ITSSAR or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of stock control processes
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Desirable Skills
- Experience within a manufacturing or automotive environment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (e.g. SAP)
- Additional forklift licences (Reach, Bendi, etc.)
