Senior Property Litigation Solicitor (7+ PQE)
Working pattern: Hybrid
Reporting to: Director of Legal and Head of Litigation
Overview:
An experienced Property Litigation Solicitor is required to provide high-level legal support, with a focus on dispute resolution, litigation, and risk mitigation. The role requires strong expertise in landlord and tenant matters and a working knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key legal advisor, taking instruction from senior stakeholders and supporting wider business functions
- Manage a varied caseload of property litigation matters independently, from pre-action through to trial and advocacy where required
- Provide support on building safety and other property-related disputes
- Instruct and liaise with external counsel, monitoring costs and obtaining necessary approvals
- Advise internal teams on property legislation, regulatory compliance, and risk
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and case management systems
- Manage deadlines effectively and safeguard business interests
- Draft and review legal documents, policies, and procedures
- Supervise and support junior team members, including delegating work as appropriate
Skills & Experience – Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales with a current practising certificate
- Significant experience in residential landlord & tenant litigation (long leasehold focus) and commercial litigation
- Experience advising on the Building Safety Act 2022
- Proven ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
- Experience of advocacy before courts or tribunals
- Exposure to conveyancing, property acquisitions, or property finance matters
- Experience in company/commercial transactions
- Knowledge of GDPR legislation
