Senior Client Bookkeeper

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional who enjoys building strong client relationships and taking ownership of a varied portfolio.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, providing high-quality bookkeeping and management accounting services while acting as a trusted point of contact.
Duties will include:
• Managing a portfolio of bookkeeping clients
• Processing and reviewing bookkeeping records using Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
• Producing monthly and quarterly Management Accounts
• Bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting clients with cloud accounting software and best practice procedures
• Preparing year-end schedules and supporting the accounts preparation process
• Assisting with Personal Tax Returns and Corporation Tax compliance work
• Liaising directly with clients and developing long-term relationships
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong bookkeeping experience gained across multiple clients
• Excellent knowledge of Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Experience preparing VAT Returns and Management Accounts
• Exposure to Personal Tax and Corporation Tax work
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification would be advantageous

Package
• Salary £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
