Teaching Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded primary school in Barry from September.
This role is suited to a confident and capable TA who can hit the ground running, support across the classroom, and contribute positively to pupil progress and engagement.
The Role:
- Provide classroom support across KS1 or KS2
- Deliver targeted interventions and support small groups
- Assist the class teacher with planning support activities and adapting resources
- Build strong relationships with pupils to support learning and behaviour
- Support pupils with varying abilities, including those requiring additional support
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
- Strong understanding of classroom routines and expectations
- Confident supporting literacy and numeracy interventions
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently when required
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
