Chartered Building or Quantity Surveyor – Move into Fund Monitoring
Location: West End, London
Salary: £60,000 – £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Overview
A leading construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Fund Monitoring Surveyor to join their expanding team in the West End. They welcome applications from Chartered Building Surveyors and Chartered Quantity Surveyors who are interested in transitioning into development monitoring.
This opportunity has arisen due to a sustained increase in instructions and a strong pipeline of work. The firm has one of the most established fund monitoring teams in the UK, with over 30 specialists nationally, and is appointed to a wide range of lender panels.
The role will involve advising banks and other lending institutions on development risks across a portfolio of primarily residential schemes, alongside hotel and commercial projects. Full training and support will be provided to help you make a successful move into this specialist area.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare initial development monitoring reports for lender clients

Review and assess project documentation, costs, and risks

Monitor construction progress and approve drawdown requests

Identify and report on development risks throughout the project lifecycle

Build strong relationships with lenders, developers, and professional teams
Requirements
-
MRICS-qualified Quantity Surveyor or Building Surveyor

Background in a consultancy environment

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction processes

Excellent report writing and client communication skills

Keen interest in moving into fund/development monitoring
