Major Recruitment
Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our professional Tamworth based client who are seeking an experienced Customer Service Coordinator to join their busy team.
This is a coordination role at the centre of customer operations. You will help make sure customer work moves cleanly from order readiness through booking, delivery, close-out, and follow-up. You will work with Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Technical Support, Field Operations, Laboratory Operations, Logistics, and Finance. This role is not general office admin. It is about owning the customer coordination flow: checking information, confirming dates, chasing actions, keeping records up to date, and making sure blocked work is escalated before it becomes a customer problem.
The role is office based and the hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Duties and tasks will include:
• Coordinating customer-facing operational activity.
• Checking that order and handover information is complete.
• Chasing missing customer information such as contacts, asset details, locations, and site requirements.
• Coordinating bookings for site visits, installations, calibration visits, training, and planned service activity.
• Sending clear customer confirmations, reminders, and updates.
• Coordinating report and certificate issue once approved by the technical owner.
• Tracking post-visit actions and follow-up work.
• Supporting post-visit quote coordination by gathering scope and routing commercial decisions to the right owner.
• Keeping CRM, order, and coordination records accurate.
Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Confident, professional customer manner.
• Ability to manage several tasks, bookings, and follow-ups at once.
• Confidence chasing information from customers and internal teams.
• Comfortable using CRM, service, or order management systems.
• Able to escalate blockers clearly and early.
