A welcoming SEND school in Sheffield is searching for a compassionate and confident SEN Teacher to join their team this September. This is a role for someone who knows that progress comes in all shapes and sizes, and that the little wins are often the biggest ones.

You’ll be working with pupils with a range of additional needs, creating a calm, engaging classroom where every child feels supported, seen, and celebrated. The school has a brilliant team spirit, supportive leadership, and staff who truly pull together, because SEND teaching is definitely a team sport.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and delivering creative, tailored lessons
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Creating a safe and structured learning environment where pupils can thrive
  • Working closely with support staff and SEN professionals

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working within SEND settings or supporting pupils with additional needs
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys making learning accessible for every child

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
