Senior Bookkeeper/Semi Senior Accountant

Join a leading accountancy firm as a Business Services Senior. With over 30 years of experience, we are not just accountants but business advisors who have developed a wide range of support and advice for ambitious business owners. We have an exciting opportunity at our Borehamwood office for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our expanding team due to the firm's growth.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Preparation of Management Accounts.
- Preparation of VAT Returns/CIS returns.
- Sales and Purchase Ledger processing.
- Managing Prepayments & Accruals.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Control Accounts.
- Reconciliation of Accounts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Practical work experience gained within a practice environment.
- Experience in using Sage, Xero & related Apps is preferred.
- Strong IT skills.
- Ability to provide App advisory services & deliver software (Xero) training and support to clients.
- Capable of handling daily/weekly bookkeeping & VAT return preparation and being a primary contact for clients on their record-keeping matters.
- Ability to manage own tasks, good time management and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Experience in statutory Accounts Preparation.
- Experience of training, reviewing the work of outsourcing staff.
- Self-discipline, organised, proactive, able to make and justify own decisions.
- IRIS Accountancy suite experience is ideal.
