- Job Title: Freelance Site Manager
- Location: Slough, Berkshire
- Contract Type: Freelance
- Day Rate: £240 – £290 per day (Dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are currently mapping out availability for experienced, locally-based freelance Site Managers to oversee upcoming major construction packages in the Slough region.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of the site, ensuring sub-contractors are hitting critical path milestones safely and on schedule.
- Maintain impeccable H&S standards, conducting site inductions, tool-box talks, and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Coordinate and push diverse trades (groundworks, RC frame, M&E, internal fit-out) to minimize delays and material wastage.
- Conduct rigorous snagging and quality inspections to ensure all build packages meet client specifications and building regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily site diaries, material logs, and progress reports for the Project Manager / Project Director.
Required Qualifications & Tickets
- Valid SMSTS CSCS Card (Black or Gold ), First Aid at Work (3-day valid certificate)
- Working experience as Site Manager for a UK Main Contractor or major regional developer.
- Proven track record managing high-rise residential builds, RC frame structures, or traditional house-building from groundworks through to internal fit-out and handover.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to handle difficult sub-contractors and drive performance on a tight schedule.
- Must live within an easily commutable distance to the Slough/Berkshire area.
