Educational Teaching Assistant OpportunityHays Education are proud to be working with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Huddersfield, who are seeking a dedicated Educational Teaching Assistant to support pupils with visual and hearing impairments from September. About the Role Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with visual and hearing impairments
Adapting learning materials to ensure accessibility and inclusion
Supporting communication needs, including use of specialist strategies or equipment
Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and external specialists
Promoting independence, confidence and positive learning experiences
Contributing to EHCP targets and progress monitoring
What We're Looking For Experience supporting pupils with sensory impairments (visual and/or hearing)
Strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiated learning
A patient, compassionate and proactive approach
Ability to follow specialist guidance and adapt quickly
Experience in a school setting within the last 2 years
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
