Description
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure stock levels meet customer demand and sales targets.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for maximising revenue.
- Assist in planning and forecasting stock requirements for upcoming seasons and promotions.
- Monitor stock performance and take necessary actions to optimise inventory levels.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products to stores or distribution centres.
- Work closely with the buying team to maintain a cohesive product range.
- Provide administrative support for the merchandising team as needed.
Profile
A successful Assistant Merchandiser should have:
- Experience or education in retail, merchandising, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
