Job Title: Assessor – Early Years & Residential Childcare (Levels 2-5) Location: Merseyside (covering Liverpool, St Helens, Knowsley, Huyton) Contract: Full Time (36 hours per week) Duration: 4+ weeks sickness cover Start Date: Monday 22nd June- 20th July Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Eden Brown are seeking an experienced and confident Assessor to support learners working towards Early Years and Residential Childcare qualifications at Levels 2-5. This is a short-term sickness cover assignment with a strong focus on residential childcare provision.
Due to a full and established diary, the role will involve minimal time on site at college, with the majority of assessment and learner engagement carried out in settings and remotely where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities *Assess and support learners working towards Early Years and Residential Childcare qualifications (Levels 2-5) *Carry out workplace observations within residential childcare settings *Complete assessment planning, feedback, and progress tracking in line with awarding body requirements *Maintain accurate and timely learner records and documentation *Support learners to achieve timely completion of their qualifications *Liaise with employers, workplace mentors, and internal quality assurance teams
Requirements *Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, TAQA, A1 or equivalent) *Strong occupational competence in residential childcare (essential) *Experience assessing Early Years and/or Residential Childcare qualifications at Levels 2-5 *Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload *Full driving licence and ability to travel across the Merseyside region *Strong communication skills and learner-focused approach
A DBS on the update service is also required for this role.
