Insurance Broker – About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in insurance broking or account handling who is driven by delivering excellent customer service, finding solutions and has a passion of winning and securing business.
You will be placing commercial and personal lines business on behalf of other brokers, acting as a key support function to ensure risks are placed efficiently and effectively in the market.
You will be the first point of contact for new and existing brokers requiring assistance in placing risks. The primary focus is on delivering excellent service, building strong broker and insurer relationships, and providing expert guidance on coverage and market solutions.
Insurance Broker – Key duties
Respond to broker queries and placement requests promptly and professionally
Take full ownership of enquiries and quotation requests
Provide technical guidance and market insight to support brokers with both commercial and personal lines placements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships, ensuring consistent engagement and high levels of satisfaction.
Arrange and conduct regular meetings with brokers (virtual, telephone, or face-to-face where appropriate).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements, market developments, and internal processes.
Engage with insurers where necessary to support placements, promote insurer capabilities, and assist with bespoke schemes.
Insurance Broker – Key requirements
Minimum of 4 years’ experience within an insurance broking or insurer environment.
Experience across both Commercial and Personal Lines.
Working towards or completion of Cert CII (or willingness to obtain).
Strong technical knowledge of insurance products, insurer market appetite and market practices.
Experience using Acturis (ideally) and/or familiarity with broking and insurer systems.
