A growing Designated Specialist Provision within a primary school in Abbeywood, Greenwich are looking for two SEND Learning Support Assistant to join them from September on a full-time basis.
The Role
In this role you will be based in a class of 5 children within the DSP. All pupils in the class have diagnosed Autism and vary in their communication ability and learning needs. The class follow a sensory curriculum and you will be required to provide 1 to 1 support with the children to enable them to engage in a range of learning and development activities. You will also be supporting the teaching staff to prepare resources and accompany children in specialist therapy sessions. As the children you will be supporting with are very young (EYFS/KS1) some will require personal/intimate care and this will be part of the role.
The school are ideally looking for SEND Learning Support Assistants who have previous experience within a specialist SEN school or have supported young children with autism. They are open to applications from others with childcare/school-based experience who have a passion and desire to move in to the Special Needs sector.
