Job Description

The role of Traffic Manager within studio coordination is vital to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of projects from inception through to delivery. This position requires meticulous planning, scheduling, and communication to guarantee that all creative and production deadlines are met whilst maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction. The role operates across multiple departments within the marketing and media sectors, coordinating resources and workflows to optimise productivity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the allocation and scheduling of projects and workloads across the studio, ensuring all tasks are assigned and completed within agreed deadlines.
  • Coordinate communication between creative teams, account managers, production staff, and external suppliers to facilitate seamless project progression.
  • Monitor project timelines and resource availability, adjusting schedules proactively to accommodate changes and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain and update traffic management systems, tracking all active projects and providing regular status reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce studio processes and best practises to improve efficiency and workflow consistency.
  • Support the management of budgets and resource planning, flagging potential risks or bottlenecks early.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, industry standards, and client requirements throughout project lifecycles.
  • Facilitate daily or weekly traffic meetings to review progress, priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members where necessary to support traffic management procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in traffic management or project coordination within a creative, advertising, or media studio environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
  • Competence in using project management and scheduling software to monitor workloads and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Experience

  • At least one years’ experience in a traffic management or related coordination role within marketing, advertising, media, or creative industries.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of studio operations and creative workflows.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software tools such as Microsoft Office suite and project management platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and work effectively to tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a marketing, advertising or media agency.
  • Familiarity with digital media production and new media formats.
  • Project management qualification or relevant certification.

Working Conditions

  • The role is based in Greater London, typically within an office or studio environment.
  • Part-time hours are expected, with flexibility to meet project demands.
  • Temporary contract with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
  • Occasional requirement to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.
