Operations Manager
Location: Didcot
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the operational functions of a growing UK business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive operational efficiency, implement scalable processes, manage administrative teams, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, document, and improve operational processes to support growth and scalability.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
- Support budgeting, financial reporting, and operational planning.
- Coordinate activities between UK-based teams and international stakeholders.
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, shipping, and receiving activities.
- Manage facilities and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Lead UK-based administrative staff and oversee day-to-day administrative functions.
- Support employee onboarding, orientation, and HR-related activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years' experience in operations, management, or project management roles.
- Proven experience building and improving operational systems and processes.
- Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Knowledge of contract management and regulatory requirements; export control experience is advantageous.
- Experience with government-funded projects or contracts (e.g. Innovate UK) is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
