Due to continued growth, we are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Head of Operations to lead our operational delivery teams in the West Midlands and play a pivotal role in our next phase of expansion.

Partnering primarily with housing associations and local authorities, they deliver high-quality, resident-focused refurbishment programmes across occupied properties.
Description
As Head of Operations, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple housing refurbishment contracts. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
You will oversee site teams, commercial performance, client relationships, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across all live contracts.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and operational support teams
- Drive operational performance across planned maintenance, retrofit, and regeneration projects
- Ensure full compliance with H&S, regulatory, and contractual obligations
- Manage P&L performance and deliver targeted margin improvements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with housing associations and local authorities
- Develop and implement operational strategy aligned with company growth plans
- Champion quality, resident engagement, and customer satisfaction
Profile
A successful Head of Operations should have:
- Proven experience in a senior operational role within housing refurbishment or social housing
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable P&L responsibility
- Track record of delivering multi-million-pound planned works contracts
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Strategic mindset with hands-on delivery capability
