Finance Associate | 2+ PQE | Dubai
A leading international law firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its growing Banking & Finance team in Dubai.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Associate with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience to join a highly regarded practice advising on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions across the Middle East. The successful Finance Associate will work alongside respected Partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of matters, including leveraged finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and corporate lending.
The Finance Associate will gain exposure to high-profile transactions involving lenders, private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, developers and major corporate organisations across the GCC region.
You must have previous Banking & Finance experience to be considered for this role.
The Finance Associate's Role
The successful Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting sophisticated financing transactions from inception through to completion.
Responsibilities will include:
* Advising clients on a broad range of banking and finance transactions.
* Supporting domestic and cross-border financing matters throughout the GCC region.
* Assisting on leveraged finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and general corporate lending transactions.
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance documentation.
* Supporting transaction structuring and execution.
* Conducting legal due diligence and identifying transaction risks.
* Advising clients on financing structures and commercial considerations.
* Working directly with lenders, sponsors, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds and corporate borrowers.
* Collaborating closely with colleagues across Corporate, Projects and Real Estate teams.
* Assisting with complex financing and restructuring matters where required.
* Managing multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
* Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
The Finance Associate
The successful Finance Associate will ideally possess:
* Qualified Solicitor status or equivalent.
* A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
* Previous Banking & Finance experience is essential.
* Experience gained within a recognised Banking & Finance practice.
* Exposure to leveraged finance, acquisition finance, corporate lending or real estate finance transactions.
* Restructuring experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
* Excellent commercial awareness and business understanding.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
* A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
* Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
