Taskmaster Resources is looking for a motivated Shunter driver to join our client based in the Doncaster area.

As a Shunter driver, you'll be a key player in ensuring our client site is well-maintained and running efficiently.

Your Role Duties:

  • To direct and control the movement and positioning of lorries and other machinery on the site
  • To use hand signals, radios and other communication devices to relay instructions to drivers and operators
  • Ensuring that vehicles and equipment are correctly positioned for loading, unloading and for other operations
  • To signal lorries, general organisation of the yard and to move large products
  • Communicating effectively with Team Leaders and Management to resolve issues promptly
  • Maintaining a strong focus on Health & Safety, ensuring the well-being of yourself and your colleagues
  • Report any incidents or near misses promptly to management

Skills:

  • Proficient in English, with excellent verbal communication skills to convey instructions clearly
  • Ability to build rapport with team members, fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Strong observational skills to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for site mobility
  • Previous experience as a Banksman or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential

Working hours:

Days and Nights on a 2-day on, 2-day off basis

Working hours: 2 Days 06:00 – 18:00 / 2 days off / 2 Days Nights 18:00 – 06:00

Pay rate: £15.62 per hour
