Temporary Receptionist
Hours: 8.30-4.30 (Monday to Friday)
Location: Tewkesbury
Contract: Temporary – holiday cover – dates in July
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
Reed are seeking a reliable and professional Temporary Receptionist to support our client's front-of-house operations for holiday cover in July. This role is the first point of contact for visitors, so excellent communication skills and a personable, organised approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Supporting guests using the self-check-in kiosk
- Managing visitor parking and access
- Overseeing the entrance gate and completing visual checks
- Handling emergency procedures for visitors when needed
- Signing for and sorting daily incoming mail
- Operating the franking machine and preparing outgoing post
- Producing end-of-day post reports
- Taking incoming calls
- Managing access cards for staff and visitors
- Monitoring stationery and consumables
- Looking after photocopiers and recycling cartridges
- Keeping reception organised and spotting ways to improve the space
What we’re looking for
Someone who is:
- Experienced in reception or administrative work
- Confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A brilliant communicator with strong attention to detail
- Professional, friendly, and self-motivated
- Able to work independently and proactively
- Comfortable interacting with colleagues, visitors, and customers
- Always discreet and respectful of confidentiality
