Overview
Robert Half are working with an organisation with a 9-month opportunity for a Senior Business Support Administrator to join a busy, fast-paced professional office environment.
The role supports the smooth running of day-to-day operations across a multi-team business. It suits someone highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working across a range of administrative, coordination, and operational responsibilities in a structured but evolving environment.
You will act as a central point of contact for internal teams, helping to ensure processes run efficiently, standards are maintained, and office operations are well coordinated.
Key Responsibilities
Office & Operational Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across the business.
- Manage incoming calls and general enquiries, ensuring timely response and appropriate routing.
- Support front-of-house activity, including greeting visitors and managing meeting spaces where required.
- Coordinate internal meetings, room bookings, and office events.
- Assist with preparation of presentations, documents, and internal communications.
- Support workplace initiatives, team events, and office-wide activities.
- Manage office supplies, facilities requests, and day-to-day workplace needs.
- Act as a key point of contact for operational queries and general office coordination.
Administrative Coordination & Data Management
- Maintain and update internal records and databases accurately.
- Carry out structured administrative checks and verification tasks in line with internal procedures.
- Process documentation requests, updates, and standardised paperwork as required.
- Support data quality, cleansing, and reporting activities.
- Respond to internal administrative queries and support workflow tracking.
- Ensure adherence to established processes and internal standards.
Workforce Administration Support
- Support coordination of short-term and ongoing work assignments across the business.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure required documentation and information is in place.
- Monitor administrative workflows such as time recording, approvals, and related processes.
- Support lifecycle administration including start, extension, and completion activities.
- Assist with general administrative processing linked to workforce scheduling and operations.
- Help ensure smooth coordination between teams involved in delivery and operations.
Systems & Technology Support
- Provide first-line support for basic system access and workplace technology queries.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including setup of equipment and system access.
- Support effective use of internal systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Troubleshoot basic IT and workplace issues and escalate where required.
- Support rollout and adoption of new tools and processes across the office.
- Contribute to system updates, maintenance activities, and process improvements.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a senior administrative, office coordination, or business support role.
- Experience working in a fast-paced office or corporate environment.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and a high-volume workload.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using multiple systems and learning new tools quickly.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Professional, reliable, and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Strong service mindset with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and quality.
Additional Information
- 9-month fixed-term contract.
- Office-based role in Bristol (minimum 4 days per week onsite).
