Wellbeing & Safeguarding Support Officer (Part-Time | Maternity Cover)

We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Wellbeing & Safeguarding Support Officer to join a forward-thinking UTC on a part-time maternity cover basis starting this September.
Start: September | 21 hours (Mon–Wed) | Term Time + 2 Weeks
Hourly Rate: £paye

In this vital role, you’ll support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in ensuring students feel safe, supported, and heard. You’ll be working at the heart of student wellbeing—building relationships, responding to safeguarding concerns, and collaborating with staff, families, and external agencies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of safeguarding concerns and supporting vulnerable students
- Monitoring and responding to CPOMS safeguarding alerts
- Liaising with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure appropriate support
- Attending meetings, contributing to interventions, and supporting referrals/EHAs
- Undertaking training and actively contributing to a safe school culture

- Has experience in a safeguarding, pastoral, or similar role
