Our Client
Our client delivers some of the UK's most recognised participation events, engaging thousands of individuals, charities, and corporate partners each year. They are seeking an Accounts Receivable professional to support the finance team during a period of maternity cover.
The Role
The Accounts Receivable Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate customer accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Raise and process sales invoices accurately and efficiently
- Monitor outstanding debt and support credit control activities
- Reconcile customer accounts and incoming payments
- Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries
- Support month-end reporting and revenue reconciliation
Main Duties
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external customers, you will play a key role in maintaining a smooth accounts receivable function.
- Generate invoices and credit notes in line with company procedures
- Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Chase overdue payments and maintain debtor reports
- Resolve customer queries relating to invoices and account balances
- Assist with month-end close and reporting requirements
The Successful Candidate
- Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Finance Assistant role
- Strong reconciliation and cash allocation experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience within events, hospitality, or a fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous
