EA to Founder and Managing Partner within Asset Management Firm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Senior Executive Assistant to join the small executive support team of the Managing Partner and Founder of a London-based asset management firm. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Senior EA will act as the primary business EA to the Managing Partner and Founder, while also providing lighter EA and coordination support to the Chief of Staff. The role is varied, fast-paced and high touch, requiring exceptional judgement, discretion and flexibility. You will work closely with the Chief of Staff and the Principal's PA to provide seamless support across business priorities, day-to-day logistics and occasional ad hoc personal matters where required.
What you'll do:
- Take full ownership of a complex, fast-evolving calendar, proactively shaping priorities, resolving conflicts, and ensuring time is strategically allocated for maximum effectiveness, preparation, and travel.
- Anticipate the needs of senior leadership by curating clear, insightful briefing packs, agendas, and context materials that enable confident, well-prepared decision-making.
- Act as a trusted gatekeeper and coordination hub, managing high-volume communication across internal teams, external partners, advisers, and senior stakeholders with discretion and authority.
- Draft, refine, and manage high-quality written communications on behalf of leadership, ensuring precision of tone, clarity of message, and alignment with intent.
- Produce concise, decision-focused meeting outputs, including summaries, actions, and follow-ups, leveraging digital and AI-enabled tools where appropriate while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Build and maintain executive-level briefing packs for boards, investment discussions, leadership forums, and strategic offsites, ensuring materials are structured, relevant, and impactful.
- Drive execution discipline by tracking actions, deadlines, and commitments across multiple workstreams, ensuring visibility, accountability, and timely delivery.
- Partner closely with the Chief of Staff and executive support colleagues to ensure seamless coverage, continuity, and aligned prioritisation across business and personal demands.
- Provide discreet, high-trust support on ad hoc personal and logistical matters, ensuring smooth coordination alongside wider executive support structures.
- Deliver high-calibre administrative and coordination support to senior leadership, optimising diary flow and enabling focus on highest-value priorities.
- Bring structure and momentum to complex, cross-functional workstreams by coordinating priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
- Support the end-to-end delivery of projects, internal initiatives, events, offsites, and strategic gatherings, ensuring strong planning, organisation, and execution.
- Maintain and enhance trackers, schedules, and management information tools that provide clarity, alignment, and control across competing priorities.
- Operate as a highly flexible and proactive member of the executive support function, stepping into priority areas as needed to ensure consistently high standards of delivery.
What you'll need:
- Extensive experience supporting C-suite leaders such as Founders, CEOs, Managing Partners or equivalent senior executives within fast-paced financial services, investment environments, with a strong track record of operating at a high level of trust and complexity. AT LEAST 5 YEARS SUPPORTING C-SUITE WITHIN FS.
- Highly proactive and anticipatory in approach, consistently staying ahead of priorities and resolving issues before they arise.
- Composed and resilient under pressure, able to manage significant workloads, shifting priorities and competing demands with clarity and control.
- Demonstrates exceptional discretion and judgement, with a deep understanding of confidentiality in sensitive and high-stakes environments.
- Strong written and verbal communicator, confident producing polished correspondence, documents and executive-level communications.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with consistently high standards for accuracy, presentation and end-to-end ownership of tasks.
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and external counterparts, bringing emotional intelligence, professionalism and credibility to all interactions.
- Collaborative, grounded and low-ego team player with a flexible, hands-on mindset and willingness to support across all levels of need.
- Highly proficient with core business tools including Microsoft Office, and comfortable adopting modern productivity solutions, including AI-enabled tools for summarisation and workflow efficiency.
