Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced Learning Support Worker to join a welcoming 2 form entry primary school in the CF3 area of Cardiff from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour, and wellbeing, and who can bring a positive, energetic and sporty approach to the role.
The Role
- Supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2, both in class and through targeted interventions
- Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Encouraging participation, confidence, and independence
- Supporting behaviour management strategies and promoting a positive learning environment
- Leading or assisting in sports, outdoor activities, and active learning sessions
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous experience working in schools or educational settings
- Confident supporting children with ALN, SEMH, or behavioural needs
- Sporty, energetic, and enthusiastic – able to engage pupils through physical activity and teamwork
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
