Job Title: Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer Location: Merseyside Salary: £40,000 – £47,000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent (May consider temporary)
Eden Brown Education are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer to join its Construction department on a permanent basis on behalf of a well-regarded Further Education College within the Liverpool City Region.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and training across a diverse learner cohort, including 16-19-year-old students, adult learners, and apprentices, helping to develop the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
Key Responsibilities * Deliver engaging teaching and practical training in Carpentry and Joinery across Levels 1-3 * Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with awarding body standards * Maintain workshop safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations * Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement * Work collaboratively with employers and industry partners to support apprenticeships * Provide pastoral support to learners to help them achieve success
About You * Strong industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery * Recognised qualifications in Carpentry/Joinery (Level 3 or equivalent minimum) * Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) * Assessor/IQA qualifications desirable but not essential * Experience working with apprentices, FE learners, or adult education groups * Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and practices * Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills * Passion for developing skills and supporting learner achievement
