1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools

We are a specialist education supply agency currently recruiting dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary schools in the Walsall area.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and providing tailored support to children who require additional help to access learning.
The Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide individual support to a pupil with additional needs (SEND, SEMH, ASD, or learning difficulties)

Support learning both inside and outside the classroom

Implement strategies set by the class teacher and SENCO
-
Help promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
-
Build a strong, supportive relationship with the pupil
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting (essential)

Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (desirable)
-
A patient, caring, and resilient approach
-
Ability to adapt to different school environments
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
