We're seeking either a mechanically or electrically biased Shift Engineer to become part of a highly skilled on-site team. Working a continental shift pattern, you'll enjoy a great work-life balance while maintaining a varied and technically challenging role within a modern, high-profile building.
The Role As a Shift Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a critical commercial environment, ensuring all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned and reactive maintenance across building services systems
- Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repairs
- AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant
- UPS systems and emergency lighting
- BMS monitoring and operation
- Fire alarms and sprinkler systems
- HVAC equipment maintenance
- Permit-to-work management
- Health & Safety compliance
- Site logbooks and compliance documentation
Requirements
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience within commercial building maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Professional and customer-focused approach
- HVAP qualification is beneficial but not essential
Package
- £50,000 – £55,000 salary
