Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking experienced Pipefitters to join their team in Glasgow on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a crucial project involving the fabrication, installation, and testing of pipework systems on naval vessels within BAE's shipbuilding facilities.
Role Overview:
As a Pipefitter, you will be integral to the successful completion of this high-stakes project. Working alongside a skilled and collaborative team, you will ensure all pipework systems are installed and tested to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pipefitter in a marine, shipbuilding, or heavy engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in pipefitting or a related trade
- Valid trade papers or apprenticeship certificates
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required
- Must be able to pass BPSS/security clearance
