Production Engineering Manager

We are recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager to join a specialist manufacturing business producing bespoke industrial cooling and heat exchange equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to drive continuous improvement across a busy fabrication and assembly environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving manufacturability, workflow and production efficiency whilst supporting engineering, fabrication and test teams across the full production process.
The role
- Lead and develop the production engineering function
- Improve shop floor workflow, routing and overall efficiency
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activity
- Work closely with design, fabrication and assembly teams to resolve production issues
- Support new product introduction into manufacturing
- Deliver measurable improvements in quality, cost and lead times
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with H&S and quality standards
What we are looking for
- Engineering background within manufacturing or industrial environments is essential
- Experience in fabricated or engineered to order products
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Hands on and practical approach to problem solving
- Experience within HVAC, refrigeration, heat exchangers or sheet metal fabrication would be advantageous
