As a Senior Payroll Administrator, you will play a key role in delivering an accurate and timely end-to-end payroll service. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will take ownership of payroll processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a high level of service to employees and stakeholders. Please note this role is fully office based with some flexibility around start and finish times.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
- Managing starters, leavers, salary changes, and statutory payments
- Processing overtime, expenses, and additional pay elements
- Running reports, performing data checks, and validating payroll information
- Maintaining compliance with internal controls and external regulations
- Supporting audit requirements and governance standards
- Collaborating with internal teams and third-party providers to meet deadlines
- Contributing to process improvements and continuous development of payroll operations
About You
- Proven experience in payroll administration within a medium to large organisation
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and statutory requirements
- Experience working with complex workforce arrangements (e.g. varying contracts or working rules)
- Confident using payroll systems and Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups)
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Professional, proactive, and able to work to tight deadlines
